Considerations
These bespoke pieces compliment both large, communal spaces and private rooms. For example, hanging proudly in your local sailing clubhouse, centre-piece in your company’s meeting room, or above the mantlepiece in your study. Your bespoke carving will be sure to tell a tale, and become the centre of discussion with guests.
Reef Carver commissions are specifically created to meet the client’s wishes. Therefore, no two pieces are made the same. Below you shall find the typical considerations when ordering a bespoke commission from Gregory:
Areas of Interest
Areas of interest are designed & carved upon request.*
You may desire a local harbour or bay that holds a place in your heart, or perhaps a well-known reef feature that is particularly striking, for example: The Solent, Fastnet Reef, Portland Bill, Plymouth Sound, Bermuda Archipelago or Straits of Gibraltar.
Details:
Size
Commissions vary in both shape and size. Typical lengths & widths range upwards from 400 mm.
Material Type/s
Select between a particular hardwood of your choice, or opt for high-quality baltic birch plywood. (Or combine together!).
